Celebrating 75 Years of Tenuta’s Deli: A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Community and Team

On April 1, 2025, we celebrated a milestone that means the world to our family and team—75 years since Tenuta’s Delicatessen first opened its doors. What began in 1950 as a small neighborhood shop has grown and evolved over the decades, and we know none of it would have been possible without your support.

A Celebration Filled with Gratitude

A group of dignitaries, community members, and Tenuta’s staff gather inside the store to celebrate its 75th anniversary, smiling in front of shelves stocked with olive oil and Italian products.

We also had the joy of celebrating alongside our longtime team member Cinzia Savaglio; third-generation owners Chris and Sue Tenuta; and our sons, Dan and Nick Tenuta, who represent the fourth generation and are now proudly helping carry the business forward.

Honoring Our Team—Past and Present

This anniversary is just as much about the people behind the counter as it is about our family. From our founders John and Lydia Tenuta, to their son Ralph Tenuta, who helped grow and shape the store for decades, to every family member, friend, and employee who has ever stocked shelves, served customers, or swept the floors—we thank you.

We are especially grateful to our current team, who continue to show up every day with care, hard work, and dedication. You are the heart of what we do, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on where we’ve been, we’re also excited for what’s ahead. We remain committed to the same values that have guided us from the beginning—family, tradition, quality, and community. We’ll continue to adapt, grow, and improve—but never lose sight of what makes Tenuta’s special.
